Obstetrics deals with pregnancy and childbirth, whereas gynecology deals with the female reproductive system. Gynecologic surgery covers surgical operations for reproductive system disorders, whereas obstetric surgery comprises surgeries during pregnancy, labor, or the postpartum period. Obstetrics and gynecologic surgery both require particular training and skill to be performed safely and successfully. This session will address the latest advances and best practises.
