Spinal anesthesia, also known as subarachnoid block, is a form of regional anesthesia that numbs a specific section of the body, usually the lower half. This anesthetic is often used for surgical operations such as cesarean sections, urological treatments, and orthopedic surgery and is delivered through the spinal canal.
