This area of Surgery focuses on identifying and treating conditions that impact the eyes and surrounding tissues. Among other eye conditions, it involves surgical procedures to address cataracts, glaucoma, retinal detachment, and corneal disorders. Ophthalmic Surgery is frequently performed by a qualified ophthalmologist or eye surgeon as an outpatient procedure while under local Anesthesia. Most patients can return to their normal activities in a matter of days to a few weeks, though healing times vary depending on the type of operation. In this session, the following significant subjects will be discussed.
