Cardiac anesthesia is a subspecialty of anesthesia that includes giving anesthetic to patients having cardiac surgery or other treatments involving the heart. It necessitates sophisticated knowledge and training in cardiovascular physiology and pharmacology, as well as specific monitoring equipment and methodologies. Transesophageal echocardiography is a recent valuable tool for monitoring cardiac functions. Topics related to cardiac anesthesia will be discussed as part of the conference.
