Surgical nursing is a specialty of nursing that focuses on providing care to patients undergoing surgical operations. Surgical nurses are highly trained professionals that operate in a range of settings such as hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, and outpatient clinics. The duty of surgical nurses begins before the surgical operation. They also help the surgeon in the operating theatre by passing tools and supplies to them, monitoring the patient's vital signs, and ensuring that the surgical site is sanitary. This session will cover the key topics related to surgical nursing.
